Business requirements are the critical link between the business and IT organizations. With the pressure of distributed teams and strategic sourcing on a global scale, ensuring clear requirements definition and understanding is paramount to deliver high-quality applications.
As part of this release, Blueprint Requirements Center 2008 Feature Pack 1 provides improvements to its industry-leading functionality, including:
- Blueprint Reader 2008 — Requirements Center now has the ability to automatically prepare requirements along with simulation settings into a "requirements package" for reviewers using the freely-available Blueprint Reader 2008.
- GUI Editor Enhancements — Numerous enhancements to the Requirements Center GUI Screen Editor including overall appearance, new widgets, rapid property entry, multiple widget selection & manipulation, and more.
- Sparx Enterprise Architect Support — With the launch of Requirements Center 2008 FP1 Blueprint is announcing support for Sparx Enterprise Architect. Blueprint Requirements Center 2008 is a role based solution with editions for the Business Analyst, the Application Developer, and the Quality Assurance Tester. Its unique capabilities build quality into requirements as they are defined through a highly collaborative approach to elicitation, elaboration, validation, and acceptance of the requirements. It then leverages those high-quality requirements through strategic touchpoints with the rest of the application lifecycle.
Existing Blueprint customers leveraging previous versions of Blueprint Requirements Center qualify for an upgrade to Blueprint Requirements Center 2008 Feature Pack 1 as part of their maintenance agreement.
