Blueprint and Centerline Partners Join Forces to Provide User-Centered Requirements Service
New Service Offering from Centerline Enables Organizations To Deliver Software that Meets Both the Business and IT Requirements
August 27, 2008, Toronto and Beverly, MA — Blueprint, the leader in requirements solutions for software business analysts, and Centerline Partners, a leading management consulting firm focused on requirements management, program & project management and business analysis, today unveiled a new partnership, whereby Blueprint's Requirements Center offering will be the linchpin in Centerline's new User Centered Rapid Requirements Management service. The agreement enables Centerline to offer Blueprint as a strategic solution to clients as part of this service, driving accuracy and quality earlier in the application development lifecycle.
Centerline's Rapid Requirements Management (RRM) service helps clients capture and document their requirements with a higher degree of accuracy, quality and speed. A primary tenant of RRM is to be able to articulate "validated" business requirements to both the business and IT owners in their respective languages.
The new User Centered RRM provides a framework which features the rigor of RRM combined with a user centered design approach that empowers Centerline experts to integrate validated requirements with design. Blueprint eliminates the disconnect between requirements and user interface design by providing a platform which tightly couples the requirements validation and definition of the user interface design in one system.
"Centerline Partners is committed to helping our clients improve the quality and accuracy of requirements, to support their business, reduce risk and rapidly maximize existing investments in methodology and tools," said Andy Simon, co-founder and partner at Centerline. "By leveraging Blueprint, our User Centered RRM service will enable customers to achieve speed, quality and accuracy in their requirements process, vastly improving their software delivery."
"Centerline has an innovative approach and a well respected team of requirements experts, and we are delighted that they have chosen to partner with Blueprint to deliver this new offering," said David Brehmer, Director of Alliances at Blueprint. "By combining a user centered design approach with the power of Blueprint, Centerline will be able to deliver validated requirements and usage scenarios which meet stakeholders needs."
Released in June 2008 and already gaining significant market traction, Blueprint Requirements Center 2009 is the first software solution designed for all phases of the requirements definition lifecycle. With Requirements Center 2009, Blueprint delivers four groundbreaking modules purpose built to provide business analyst teams the capability to optimize the requirements definition practices of requirements elicitation, elaboration, validation, and acceptance.
