Blueprint announces record revenue growth in 2008
Leading Business Analyst Workbench Provider Grows Revenue 300% as the Global 2000 Invests in Requirements Definition to maximize IT Value
Toronto, ON -- January 14, 2009: Blueprint™, the leader in requirements solutions for software business analysts, today announced the strongest quarterly growth in company history, with revenues rising 300% year over year from 2007. Along with strong top-line revenue growth, Blueprint also set new records in customer acquisition and average deal size as the requirements definition category emerged as one of the few growth areas in the 2008 IT market.
Blueprint’s results were accentuated by strong customer traction in multiple verticals including healthcare, pharmaceutical, education, commercial software, and leisure market segments. Customers are adopting the Blueprint solution set to drive value from existing IT investments, and to maximize the efficiency of distributed organizations.
“As we reported in our most recent market commentary report, “Fortune 500 Spending Required for IT Cost Savings”, enterprise organizations are going to have to dig deep and invest in core lifecycle technologies to be adequately prepared for the next cycle of growth and expansion,” said Theresa Lanowitz, founder of voke, inc. “In this type of market, it’s not enough to simply define a requirements gathering process. Rather, the agile enterprise needs to adopt the next generation of automated requirements lifecycle acceleration tools such as Blueprint Requirements Center in order to reduce defects, improve quality, and quickly respond to fast-changing market conditions while preserving, protecting and extending investments.”
Among the highlights for Blueprint Systems for the quarter ending December 2008:
- Record and Repeat Sales in 2008 - Revenue for the company grew 300%, customer orders were up 200%, and repeat orders were up 500% vs the same period last year.
- Customers Spending Now to Save Later - Ninety-percent of customers reported that they purchased Blueprint in direct response to improving their cost-cutting strategies as well as a vehicle to improve the effectiveness of their outsourcing/off-shore initiatives;
- Completing the Requirements Lifecycle Circle - Eighty-five percent of customers plan to deploy Blueprint Requirements Center in conjunction with HP Quality Center to fully realize a complete requirements lifecycle solution.
"In this time of economic uncertainty, IT organizations across every industry are under even greater pressure to deliver greater value, with fewer resources, while improving overall quality,” said David Nyland, president and CEO of Blueprint . “Companies who have partnered with Blueprint are able to automate all facets of their requirements gathering and definition process which impacts everything from testing to managing off-shore development and testing resources. Even as budgets get tightened, enterprises continue to invest in solutions like Blueprint as there is a clear path to ROI.”
