Blueprint achieves record annual revenues as customers recognize significant cost savings by leveraging requirements software
Enterprises' Distributed Development, Outsourcing, Application Modernization and Agile Development Initiatives Drive New and Repeat Demand for Blueprint Requirements Center
Toronto, ON -- July 20, 2009: Blueprint™, the market leading requirements software provider, today announced another record quarter and year ending June 30, 2009, more than tripling revenues year-over-year.
Blueprint welcomed new customers in multiple market verticals including financial, advertising & publishing, government, telecommunications, travel & leisure, healthcare, and pharmaceuticals. Revenue growth was a result of adding new customers and driving adoption and repeat orders within existing customers. New adopters of Blueprint software included McKesson, Carnival Cruise Lines, JPMorgan Chase, and the US Federal Government. Large-scale repeat adopters of Blueprint’s software included LexisNexis®, Paetec, Merck, RBC Capital Markets, and Interval International.
"Blueprint is an invaluable partner that enables us to achieve unprecedented certainty and clarity in our requirements process," said Kurt Walk, VP Global Solutions Delivery, Operations at LexisNexis®. "Requirements Center adds tremendous value, as it enables us to reduce costly rework and increase the quality of our final software products delivered to the business. We selected Blueprint as a strategic requirements solutions partner for all of our strategic software projects."
Blueprint’s software is purchased to eliminate software delivery waste impacting business agility, efficiency and innovation. Constrained budgets and escalating software complexity create a sharpened focus of getting requirements right at the start of the process. Heavy adopters of Blueprint software include those with the challenges of managing distributed teams and 3rd-party outsourcers, those tackling large complex projects to modernize their software infrastructure, and those turning to more visual, collaborative and agile approaches to reduce cost and risk.
"In today’s tough economic climate, enterprises are focusing their scarce discretionary IT spend on those innovative technologies that can have a dramatic short-term impact on their business performance, namely eliminating cost, driving revenues, and reducing risk," said David Nyland, President and CEO of Blueprint. "Our business has taken-off over the past 12 months because we have demonstrated that we can deliver results quickly and collaboratively with our customers, and become a trusted long-term business partner.”
During the 2009 fiscal year, Blueprint was also awarded numerous accolades, including recognition as a 2009 voke Innovator, overall winner of the 2009 Jolt Excellence Award in Design and Modeling, a Gartner Cool Vendor in Application Delivery, a Red Herring 200 finalist, and a Deloitte Technology Fast 50.
The company is also announcing the launch of a refreshed www.blueprintsys.com web site that includes details of its recently announced Requirements Center 2010 release, customer video testimonials, a company Twitter feed (http://twitter.com/blueprintsys), and additional resources for companies researching and evaluating requirements software and best practices.
