Summary
Blueprint - a global leader in software requirements definition and management industry - is searching for an enthusiastic and talented product manager to help take our company to the next level by defining, designing and monitoring the implementation of market-driven features into product releases. You will develop and execute product strategies in order to drive growth and market competitiveness of Blueprint’s Requirements Center product line through deep understanding of our customers, products, and competitive environments.

This is a challenging technical role that must consider large, complex systems and their interactions. The ideal candidate will bring focus and precision to the details of the product requirements and design, while establishing a strong vision of how the products will be used and perceived in the market. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to contribute in a direct and visible way to Blueprint’s bottom-line by successfully executing roadmap strategies and bringing valuable and elegantly designed features to market.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive feature areas of the product taking ownership from concept to delivery and ongoing roadmaps.
  • Manage the user facing design and specification of new features with a careful eye on product usability and end user efficiency.
  • Work in a an Agile Product Development process creating well thought-out and consumable user stories while managing and prioritizing the product backlog.
  • Collaborating with Architecture, Development and QA staff to deliver features worthy of a world class product with substantial innovation in each new release.
  • Manage the collection, description, analysis and prioritization of requests for new product functionality from customers, prospects, partners, sales, and market-driven forces.
  • Be current with trends in the Requirements Definition and Management space, from the users view and the competitive landscape

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 5+ years product management experience with a focus on highly interactive productivity product
  • Proven success defining technical product features and driving cradle-to-grave feature execution.
  • Experience implementing SDLC best practices in an Agile, Waterfall, or RUP environment.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft development technologies: Windows Server, SQL Server, IIS, ASP.net, Sync Framework, RIA Services and Silverlight.
  • Skillful at team collaboration while effectively articulating complex ideas and UI designs.
  • A passion for listening to customers and delivering world-class user experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong quantitative analysis skills.
  • Exceptional planning, leadership, organizational, and execution skills.
  • Ability to coordinate people and activities across multiple functional areas with demonstrated strong capabilities in communicating and interfacing between Sales, Marketing and Engineering.
  • SDLC product management experience at leading software providers in the software development space.
  • BA/BS in a technical field such as computer science or engineering
