Summary

  • Blueprint is expanding its training and consulting services to support a growing global customer and partner base.
  • Blueprint's trainers and consultants are Requirements experts with extensive Requirements Center experience and detailed knowledge of Requirements and SDLC processes, tools and best practices.
  • Training includes delivery of essentials and advanced courses covering Blueprint's core products (Requirements Center, Blueprint Reader, and Blueprint Team Repository), processes, and best practices.
  • Training typically takes place both at customer sites and Blueprint offices.
  • Consulting and mentoring services are designed to provide on-the-job training and knowledge transfer by working in the customer's lab on the customer's project with an experienced Blueprint expert.

Responsibilities
Training responsibilities include:

  • Assess customer training needs, plan, and manage training delivery.
  • Prepare training materials, setup training environments, and conduct training courses.
  • Assist in the development, upgrade and maintenance of courseware.
  • Enhance certification programs for end users and customer train-the-trainer candidates.

Beyond formal training, the Blueprint mentor/consultant will educate customer personnel in the use of Requirements Center and other Blueprint products. The mentor/consultant may lead a range of activities that may include:

  • Ensure proper installation of Blueprint software including the License Server and Team Repository.
  • Review of proposed project(s) and existing requirements documentation and provide recommendations for Project, Model and Repository structure.
  • Tailor and deliver a Getting Started Guide, tailored to the project team.
  • Review requirements models (one-on-one or in groups) and provide comments on requirements content and utilization of Requirements Center capabilities.
  • Provide guidance on using UI Mockups, Data and best practices on Requirements Simulation.
  • Assist with Word document template mapping and template creation.
  • Provide guidance on Requirements Center Test Generation capabilities, best practices and integration with HP Quality Center.

Required

  • 4+ years experience in training, mentoring, and consulting roles in the software industry.
  • Working knowledge of requirements definition, business analysis, software development and testing domains and trends.
  • Proven excellent presentation, written and verbal communication, and customer management skills.
  • Strong learning/teaching, problem solving, innovation, multi-tasking, and IT/technical skills.
  • Track record of working independently and in teams to meet deadlines, while maintaining quality.
  • Ability and flexibility to sustain a travel-centric workstyle across North America, Europe, and worldwide.

Ideal

  • Direct experience in training, mentoring, and consulting in: requirements definition, business analysis, use case modeling, GUI prototyping, simulation, software development, and test generation.
  • Prior experience with other first generation requirements management tools (ReqPro, Doors, Caliber, etc.). Also, experience with HP Quality Center is a plus.
  • Experience in both classroom and web based delivery of training.
  • Experience with developing instructor led, web based, and self-learning training materials, hands-on exercises, and certification examinations.
  • Expertise in web based courseware development tools and Learning Management Systems.
  • BS or BA in computer science or engineering discipline.
