Leadership Team
Blueprint has assembled a seasoned executive management team with a proven track record in commercializing software on a global stage and delivering long-term shareholder value.
The team has a range of prior blue-chip experience including senior roles at IBM, HP Software, Accenture, Novell and KPMG, combined with high growth global technology company experience at Mercury, Tivoli, Architel, Syndesis, RedKnee and PlateSpin.
Blueprint’s management team provides strategy, leadership, and oversees all aspects of operations including the realization of Blueprint’s mission and vision, and are custodians of Blueprint’s values.
Dan Shimmerman, President and CEO
Dan Shimmerman is President and CEO of Blueprint, the market leader in requirements definition and management (RDM) software. Prior to joining Blueprint, Dan was the co-founder, President and CEO of Varicent Software, a global enterprise software vendor in the sales performance management market that was acquired by IBM in April 2012. Prior to this Dan was a sales executive for Clarity Systems Ltd. Over the course of his career Dan has established a proven track record of delivering strategic vision and value for all stakeholders and has had the opportunity to work with many world-class clients, including Deutsche Bank, SAFECO Insurance, Aetna Insurance, Zurich, Lincoln Financial Group, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, General Electric and Jim Beam Brands. Dan is a CA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from York University and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
Greg Kent, CFO
Greg is a senior finance executive with extensive public and private company experience in the software industry. He has over 16 years of diversified finance experience including: capital market and debt fund raising, business process design/reengineering, and establishing international business arrangements and legal entities. Greg has held senior leadership positions with multinational, high growth companies in the software and manufacturing industries. His most recent positions have been Chief Financial Officer of Genesis Worldwide, a leading provider of structural light gauge steel framing technology and Vice President, Finance at Redknee Solutions Inc., an international telecommunication software and services provider; both are listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. After graduating from Queen’s University Commerce, Greg began his career at KPMG LLP where he was a senior manager and earned his Chartered Accountancy.
Jennifer Bentley, CMO
Jennifer Bentley is a seasoned marketing leader with more than 15 years of proven expertise creating market demand for emerging and high growth software companies in both North America and Europe. As Chief Marketing Officer, Jennifer is responsible for all aspects of marketing demand generation, corporate marketing, analyst and public relations, product marketing, and community management. Prior to joining Blueprint, Jennifer was global vice president of marketing for Longview Solutions and has also held a number of progressively senior leadership roles at BorderWare (Watchguard), Transora, Kewill Systems and Platform Computing (IBM). Jennifer is a graduate of Mount Allison University in Sackville, New Brunswick.
Andy Amalfitano, SVP of Sales
Andy Amalfitano is the Senior Vice President of Sales at Blueprint, the market leader in requirements definition and management (RDM) software. Andy joined Blueprint in April 2013. Prior to joining Blueprint, Andy spent 4.5 years as the Vice President of Sales and the General Manager of MEI for Solarsoft, a specialized mid-market ERP software vendor which was acquired by Epicor in October 2012. Andy has over twenty years’ experience in the application software marketplace at companies such as Dun & Bradstreet Software and The Baan Company, where he held a variety of sales leadership positions. Andy is a Chartered Accountant and Cum Laude graduate from Laurentian University where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree.
Ray Payette, SVP Engineering and Operations
Ray Payette is a former Canadian Air Force Senior Officer and highly respected visionary in enterprise software development and has a proven track record of moving organizations of small and medium size to enterprise scale and quality including Extend Media, Cartesis and Hyperion. As Senior Vice President of Engineering and Operations, Ray will have responsibility for Engineering Program Management, Software Development, and QA/testing, Product Support, Hosting, and Information Technology. Ray comes to Blueprint from IBM where he was the head of Development for the Financial Performance Management product group and prior to that head of Development for Cognos Business Intelligence. Ray is a graduate of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
