Dan Shimmerman

President and CEO

As President and CEO of Blueprint, Dan Shimmerman is blazing a trail for Blueprint as the global standard for the rapidly emerging requirements definition management (RDM) market.

Dan has a proven track record of success in delivering strategic vision and value for all stakeholders. Prior to joining Blueprint, he was President and CEO of Varicent Software, a global provider of sales performance management solutions, which was acquired by IBM in 2012. Over the course of his career, he has worked with a wealth of world-class clients, including Deutsche Bank, SAFECO Insurance, Aetna Insurance, Zurich, Lincoln Financial Group, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, General Electric and Jim Beam Brands.

Dan is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from York University and an MBA from the University of Toronto.

Michael Aronzon

Chief Technology Officer

Michael Aronzon serves as Blueprint’s Chief Technology Officer, directing all product development efforts, IT and Cloud operations, bringing Blueprint’s technology vision to life.

Prior to joining Blueprint, Michael was a Director of Development at Genesys, where he drove product teams to deliver best-in-class SaaS and On-Premise customer care solutions.

Michael has managed multiple cross-functional teams and international contractors, working closely with partners and vendors to ensure successful product launches. His experience ranges from video gaming peripherals to web, mobile and enterprise software.

Charles Sword

SVP of Sales

Charles Sword, SVP of Sales at Blueprint Software Systems Inc., is a recognized expert in emerging technologies with over 20 years of experience delivering high impact, strategic solutions for Global 2000 organizations and building profitable, high-growth software and services businesses.

He has successfully developed and managed high-performing sales organizations for both enterprise services and software with responsibility for all aspects of market development including business development, alliances, pre-sales strategy, field marketing and quota attainment. He has deep domain expertise and experience in Financial Services, Life Sciences and Federal Government markets. Previously, Charles Sword held senior sales executive roles at CAST Software and iRise and worked with clients such as JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Merck, Pfizer, Goldman Sachs.

Greg Kent

Chief Financial Officer

Greg Kent is a senior finance executive with extensive public and private company experience in the software industry. As Chief Financial Officer at Blueprint, he is responsible for all financial, human resources and infrastructure aspects of the business.

Throughout his 20 years of diversified finance experience, Greg has gained considerable expertise in capital market and debt fund raising, business process design/reengineering, contractual negotiations and establishing international business arrangements /legal entities. He has held a number of senior leadership positions with multinational, high growth companies in the software and manufacturing industries. Most recently he was CFO of Genesis Worldwide, a leading provider of structural light gauge steel framing technology; and Vice President, Finance at Redknee Solutions Inc., an international telecommunication software and services provider.

Greg is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Commerce degree from Queen’s University.

Martin Saipe

SVP of Corporate Development

As Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, Martin is responsible for facilitating Blueprint’s growth and presence throughout the worldwide software development market.

Prior to joining Blueprint, Martin served as VP, Corporate Development at Varicent Software, through its acquisition by IBM in 2012. Before Varicent, he served in legal roles with Scotiabank, Alliance Atlantis Communications and Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.

Martin holds a Bachelor’s degree from University of Western Ontario, an MBA and a law degree from the University of Toronto.

Rick Vaughan

SVP of Customer Experience

Rick Vaughan is Blueprint’s Senior Vice President of Customer Experience. In his role, Rick leads Blueprint’s customer services and support offerings, including professional and education services, customer support and success. Prior to joining Blueprint, Rick served five years as VP Professional Services with Varicent Software, and then two years with IBM as worldwide services executive (after the IBM acquisition of Varicent). Rick also spent ten years with PeopleSoft/Oracle, most recently as Group Vice President of Oracle Consulting. He has extensive services and project delivery experience in North America, Asia, and Europe.

Alex Moorhead

Alex Moorhead, Managing Partner of the Tandem Expansion Fund , has 15 years experience, primarily building and managing high growth companies. Prior to joining Tandem, Mr. Moorhead co-founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of LMG, a London, England based business which owns and operates Nectar, the UK’s leading consumer loyalty program with 50% UK household participation. LMG was acquired by Group Aeroplan (now AIMIA, TSX:AIM) in December 2007. Mr. Moorhead has also worked in corporate finance at Banc of America Securities (San Francisco) and UBS (New York) where he executed a wide variety of transactions including capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Moorhead began his career as part of the start-up management team at Loyalty Management Group Canada which owned and operated the Air Miles program in Canada.

Eric Byunn

Eric Byunn founded Centana Growth Partners in 2015 and is one of its Managing Partners. Before founding Centana Growth Partners, Eric spent 13 years at FTV Capital where he was a partner, served on the management committee, and led investments in enterprise technology. Eric currently serves on the Boards of Catalyst Repository Systems and Cloudmark and previously led investments in companies including Centro, Coremetrics (acquired by IBM), Covario (acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network), GMI (acquired by WPP), KVS (acquired by Veritas), MarketShare Partners, PSS Systems (acquired by IBM), Sourcecode/K2, and Varicent (acquired by IBM).

Prior to FTV, Eric served as Director of Online Services at myCFO, a startup wealth management firm. He has held several positions at Netscape/AOL, including management of Netscape’s Personal Finance Channel and product management for the Netscape Navigator browser prior to the acquisition by AOL. He also has worked at Microsoft and McKinsey & Company.

He received an AB summa cum laude in economics with additional focus in computer science from Harvard College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. Eric is also a CFA Charterholder.

Ron Warburton

Ron is an experienced operator with a proven record of building successful software companies. During the early part of his career, he held progressively senior positions in engineering, product management, software sales and marketing. In 1991, Ron became President and CEO of Simetra Inc. after leading a management buyout. Over the following nine years, he grew Simetra's software business across Canada and the U.S. and sold it in 2000. In the process, he co-founded a second software business that he helped build and successfully sold.

Ron Warburton is a Managing Partner in the IT Venture Fund and joined BDC Capital in 2000. Ron actively participates on the board of directors of a number of IT companies and has led VC investments into Tarian Software (acquired by IBM), Blaze Software (acquired by Akamai), CloudLink Technologies (acquired by EMC), Privacy Analytics and Klipfolio. Ron is a registered professional engineer and holds a BSc.in Civil Engineering from Queen's University and an MBA from Western University.
