Glossaries
One of the simplest ways to reduce misunderstanding is to ensure everyone uses a common vocabulary with agreed upon meanings for the terms people use. To help when defining requirements, Blueprint Requirements Center lets you keep these definitions right alongside the requirements you're working with.
Create multiple glossaries. For example, one for your company, one for the department, and another for terms just used on the project. This ensures that everyone is "speaking the same language" when it comes to requirements.
